People and businesses all over the region are having to make adjustments due to the spread of the coronavirus. The Original Charbroil Restaurant in Greece is no exception.

The 58-year fixture at the corner of Island Cottage Road and Edgemere Drive made a make-shift drive-thru in order to keep serving up hots, hams, and fish fries to-go.

Customers can drive through the orange lane set up and order, pay and pick up meals.

“I’m just trying to pull through. We need some answers from the government. I think if they just talking about how people are going to pay their mortgages, maybe stop, hit the pause button, everyone is going to get through this. We are all in the same boat, that’s the part where you know you can’t sleep at night. We're just doing the best we can and keeping the faith,“ said owner Dave Palumbo.

“The community support has been amazing. Everybody pulling through these hard times and just making it work. We are blessed and lucky with our crew and our regulars we couldn’t do it without them,“ said owner Stacey Palumbo.

Longtime customer Scott Ertel lives just a few doors down from Charbroil.

“The owners and the servers those folks are friends of mine. I worked here going back to high school 40 years ago so I do have a connection and I hope they can weather this,” said Ertel.

The Charbroil drive-thru is open daily 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
