Lollypop Farm has opened an adoption center at The Mall at Greece Ridge.
Those who work there say the goal of the adoption center is to become more accessible to those who live on the west side of the city. They also say the new location is meant to provide more space for some of their animals.
"We are overflowing with cats and kittens at our shelter that need to find loving homes," said Vicky Pape, director of animal placement at Lollypop Farm. "So having more places where the animals can go to find homes and more people that it's accessible to is really, really important, especially in these summer months."
The farm is reminding the community that this new location is just an adoption center, so that means it is not a place to surrender animals.
