FAIRPORT, N.Y. — No dinner plans or reservations yet for Mother's Day? No worries because Fairport's serving dinner with a special chicken dinner drive-thru Sunday.

The $15 chicken dinner with all the fixings includes desserts. The Mother’s Day chicken dinner drive-thru starts in the kitchen at Spinelli‘s Catering in Fairport. Mark and Stephanie Spinelli have been married for 15 years and in business for 15 years. They are cooking up a tasty plate of Cornell chicken, potatoes, coleslaw, blood orange brownies and cornbread.

“Oh, it is going to be good. It will be nice, moist chicken. We are happy to be a part of it,” said Stephanie.

The chicken dinner drive-thru benefits Fairport Perinton Partnership and all it does for Fairport merchants year-round including all those Fairport festivals we’ve been missing.

“Obviously COVID has been a tough thing for all of us, so by having this event with a local caterer, we are helping them out and the funds raised also help our non-for-profit,” said Scott Winner from Fairport Perinton Partnership. “So we are doing this in lieu of our usual festival activities and so on throughout the summer you will see these kinds of smaller scale and more socially-distanced opportunities to have an adventure.”

To preorder your Mother’s Day $15 chicken dinner, head to FairportPartnership.org. You must order by noon Saturday, May 8. The drive-thru pickup is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Perinton Park off O’Connor Road.
