The Valentine copper rose fundraising total is in for Fairport metal artist Marc Gaiger. His copper rose sales to benefit the Veterans Outreach Center of Rochester netted $14,275 for the VOC.

"It's awesome, totally awesome!" said Gaiger.

Gaiger cut, shaped, welded and sold more than 500 copper roses and some hand-forged vases. Every dollar is going directly to support the programs and services at the Veterans Outreach Center in Rochester.

"The timing is difficult but I am glad that I have his happy stuff to bring to the table right now. There is plenty of opportunity to help people," said Gaiger. "Obviously, you got to be safe and respect each other's health, but you know what, if you look you will find opportunities to help people."
