The Ontario County Sheriff's Office is mourning the loss of a longtime deputy.
Lt. William Gallagher Jr. died on Tuesday.
He served with the Ontario County Sheriff's Office since 1979. Gallagher retired in 2016 but continued to serve the office as its accreditation manager.
Calling hours are Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home on High Street in Geneva. Funeral services will take place at the same location at 9:30 a.m. on Friday.
