Victor needs your votes!

Victor Intermediate School is a finalist in an online educational contest to win thousands of dollars in prize money for new library resources.

Victor is one of 76 schools in the nation part of the Follett Challenge that awards schools for their innovative literacy efforts.

Every year, Victor students and staff take part in the "Community Read," a read-aloud book program.

Students edited a video of the school-wide effort for the competition and it's now posted online waiting for your votes to win!

"It is really exciting! I was glad that our video made it through," said Maggie Elliott, Victor library media specialist. "We worked really hard on it and we prepared a written entry to go along with it so we just hoping people will get out and vote and we win part of the prize!"

You can vote once a day online. Voting ends Friday.

Winners will be announced next month.
