Hot diggity dog! A couple hundred sausage hounds will be doing some laps at Washington Square Park in Rochester next month and you're invited.
Alan Frost has his hands and heart full with 2-year-old "Archie," a dachshund.
“Are you a good boy?" laughed Frost.

Archie is a get up and go, go, go dachshund and Frost is as loyal a dachshund doggy fan as they come. He’s raised dachshunds for 30 years.
“They are the best. They have so much personality and they never quit,” said Frost.
Frost can’t wait to show off Archie’s strut at the 21st annual Rochester Dachshund Parade taking place on May 13. Frost is co-chair of the parade committee.
Sausage dogs, wiener dogs, or doxies, no matter what you call them, just about every dachshund has a playful, goofy, lovable and strong personality.
“We love the dogs and we love to get them together because dachshunds love other dachshunds. They really don’t like other breeds. Very picky, very picky,” laughed Frost.
More than 300 dachshunds from all over western New York will be at the parade. Any and all are invited to see their happy hot dogging style.
A portion of any parade day donations and dachshund merchandise sale proceeds will go to the Verona Street Animal Society and Rochester Hope for Pets.
