SALAMANCA, N.Y. — The Salamanca City Central School District will be fully remote until the new year.

In a letter to parents, Superintendent Robert Breidenstein says the district is being impacted by several new coronavirus cases.

The district is conducting contact tracing, but has still decided to keep kids at home to learn for the remainder of 2021.

Faculty and staff are still reporting to work inside school buildings as usual.

The district says it will communicate with parents and students via social media and robocalls.

As of right now, Salamanca City Central School students will return to the classroom for in-person learning on Jan. 3.
