Heavy rains caused flash flooding across the Hudson Valley on Tuesday.
Earlier in the afternoon, flash flood warnings were in place for northeastern Orange, western Putnam, and southwestern Dutchess counties, as well as the Wappingers Falls area.
Town of Newburgh police were on the scene of flooding in the area of Route 9W and Interstate 84. A Spectrum News crew saw some partially submerged cars, but no one inside them, with the water slowly receding.
