WEATHER HEADLINES:

→ Areas of Frost by Daybreak

→ Sunshine Saturday; Rain for Sunday

→ Warmer Weather for Next Week

*A freeze warning will be in effect from midnight until 9 am on Saturday for Sullivan, western Ulster, and western Greene counties.*

**A frost advisory will be in effect from midnight until 9 am on Saturday for eastern Greene, eastern Ulster, Orange, Columbia, Dutchess, and Putnam counties.**

The cloud cover will continue to decrease overnight as the wind settles down, as well. That sets things up for temperatures to plummet across the Hudson Valley. Most will bottom out in the 30s, but some lower 40s will be possible farther south. Aside from the southern edge of the Hudson Valley that will be slightly too warm, a hard freeze and areas of frost will be possible by daybreak.

Although it will be a cold start to Saturday, the day will see plenty of sunshine as temperatures warm up into the 50s to right around 60°.

More clouds will start to filter in overnight, which will make for a slightly warmer start Sunday morning in the 30s and 40s.

Sunday morning will start off dry, even with more clouds overhead. However, the first raindrops will start to move in from the west by late morning. Showers will just continue to spread in across all of the Hudson Valley as Sunday progresses.

Even so, Sunday will end up being warmer than Saturday due to the return of a warm south breeze. That’ll help temperatures top out in the mid to upper 60s.

Some spots could even hit 70° on Monday, even though the day will be filled with cloud cover and passing showers.

Drier weather returns for Tuesday with a mix of sun and clouds overhead, and high temperatures in the 60s.

Starting on Wednesday, the rest of the upcoming work and school week will see a mostly sunny sky overhead with highs still in the 60s.
