Kingston police say they are investigating a homicide.

Officers responded around 2 a.m. Friday to an address on West O'Reilly Street. A 36-year-old male was found there, and officers gave first aid before he was taken to hospital, where the victim was pronounced dead.

The victim was identified by police as Myron T. Moye Jr., of Kingston. As a precaution, Kingston schools were closed for the day, due to the crime scene's proximity to Kingston High School.

There is no word yet about a suspect, and no arrests, despite Ulster police helping out with a K-9 unit.

This is the second homicide investigation launched in Kingston in a little more than a week. Police are still searching for the killer of 27-year-old Daniel Thomas, after he was shot last Thursday near Prospect and Cedar streets.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact Kingston police at 845-331-1671.
