Police say a suspect has been arrested in the death of a woman in New Windsor.
Deborah Waldinger, 32, was found dead inside the South Gate Village Apartments on Wednesday by a maintenance worker.
Luis Rondon, of New Windsor, has been charged with second-degree murder in the case. Police say he was arrested Saturday night in California, having left New York shortly after Waldinger was killed.
Rondon is being held in California on no bail, pending extradition back to New York.
The Orange County Medical Examiner says Waldinger's death was caused by blunt force trauma to the head.
New Windsor police are planning to update the public on their investigation during a news conference on Monday.
