Voters from around the Hudson Valley region went to the polls Tuesday, with mayoral, county executive, district attorney races and other key votes on the ballot.

Here’s a look at the outcomes of some of the top races we were watching:

Democrat Steve Noble wins re-election as Kingston mayor 

Democratic incumbent Steve Noble defeated Republican challenger Scott Denny, a retired automobile businessman.

Noble notched over 60% of the vote.

Noble was first elected mayor eight years ago and has now been successfully re-elected twice.

Incumbent Torrance Harvey re-elected as Newburgh mayor 

Democrat Torrance Harvey, the incumbent, won the three-way race for Newburgh mayor.

Harvey claimed 61.54% of the vote. Republican John Giudice took 18.68%, and Independent Hael Stewart-Fisher registered 19.47%.

Harvey was appointed mayor in 2018, and previously won elections in 2018 and 2020.

Democrat Anthony Parisi takes Dutchess County DA 

Democrat Anthony Parisi will be the next district attorney in Dutchess County.

Parisi topped Republican Matthew Weishaupt by 3.37 percentage points, 51.66 to 48.29, according to the county board of elections website

Incumbent William Grady is retiring after 10 terms — 40 years — as district attorney.

Democrat Nneji elected Ulster County DA

Manny Nneji has been elected to be Ulster County’s next district attorney.

Nneji held off Republican Michael Kavanagh by just 195 votes, according to the Ulster County Board of Elections, with more than 47,000 votes cast.

Democrat Dave Clegg, the incumbent, announced in January that he wouldn’t seek a second term due to a family member’s health issue. Kavanagh had lost a close race to Clegg in 2019.
