A tentative agreement has been reached ending the impasse over early voting sites in Ulster County.
Democratic Elections Commissioner Ashley Dittus confirmed she and Republican Commissioner Thomas Turco settled on eight sites. They include Woodstock, Kingston, Ellenville, and New Paltz.
This week, the Ulster County Legislature stepped in amid a dispute between Dittus and Turco, who had proposed sites in mainly rural areas, spawning backlash from Democrats.
The early voting sites would be open during the nine days before November's election.
