Big changes could be coming to the nation's education system.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order dismantling the U.S. Department of Education on Thursday, which would shift the control of federal programs back to the states.

While supporters say this will give Ohio more power over its schools, critics warn it could lead to funding cuts and uncertainty for students and teachers. 

Christina Collins, executive director for Honesty for Ohio Education, joined Spectrum News 1 to discuss the executive order.
