Utility crews work to get the lights back on after powerful storms swept through the region.

At one point, parts of Dutchess County were under a tornado warning.

Central Hudson says more than 7,500 customers were impacted, while Orange and Rockland counties report 6,600 of their customers were impacted. A number of reports came in for downed trees and wires.

As always, crews are reminding people to stay at least 30 feet away from downed lines.
