Town of Newburgh police said Friday they are looking for multiple individuals who broke into a home and threatened its residents at gunpoint after one of the suspects posed as an Amazon delivery worker.

The home invasion occurred around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, when a man wearing an Amazon vest and holding a package arrived at the Fletcher Drive home and told a resident he required a signature, police said.

The man then pushed his way in, displaying a firearm, followed by at least three other armed suspects who were wearing masks and demanded money, according to police.

All residents of the home were taken to the basement and not injured, police said. The suspects then fled.

Police are investigation and ask anyone with information about the alleged home invasion to call (845) 564-1100.
