A new COVID-19 testing site for Sullivan County residents opened on the SUNY Sullivan campus in Loch Sheldrake.

Planned with the governor’s office and Quadrant Biosciences, the free testing site in the Paul Gerry Field House is open 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. It's one of numerous testing sites opened on SUNY and community college campuses across New York as part the state's winter surge plan.

Sullivan County Public Health Director Nancy McGraw welcomed the news.

“Testing resources have been limited in Sullivan County throughout the pandemic, and this provides a convenient option that will also take the testing burden off of the emergency room and local health care provider offices, so they can get back to caring for those with urgent medical needs,” she said.

Appointments for the PCR tests are strongly encouraged and can be scheduled here.
