The future of the former YMCA in Poughkeepsie goes up for a vote before the Dutchess County Legislature Monday night. 

The county wants to turn the site into what it calls a "Youth Opportunity Center" focused on recreation, education and health for kids. 

Part of the proposal includes allocating $10 million dollars from the American Rescue Plan fund to get the project started. 

The process of designing the new property is expected to take about a year.
