Ulster County says almost 12,000 people in the area have finished getting both doses of the vaccine.

More than 21,000 people have had at least one dose. That's about 12% of the county.

Like other counties in the region, Ulster is a bit behind the state average. County Executive Pat Ryan participated in a town hall with health experts on Radio Kingston Thursday where he said, right now, about 120,000 people are eligible countywide.

Weekly, he says the county gets between 1,000 and 2,000 doses.

"We can be vaccinating tens of thousands of people per month, and with our health department alone, we could be doing 50,000 a month, and you bring everybody else in. If we add in unlimited supply, we could vaccinate everybody in one to two months. It's just really the supply issue," said Ryan.
