The city of Kingston's police commission is holding a virtual meeting tomorrow to get public input on a recent rise in police patrols.
Last month, the city launched a 10-week initiative to increase patrols with assistance from state police and the Ulster County Sheriff's Office.
Officers say it's aimed at curbing gun violence and drug trafficking.
Now, the city says the mayor and the commission is looking at concerns with the program.
City officials say the meeting is meant to make sure there is "proper balance between law enforcement initiatives and the rights of citizens residing in the affected neighborhoods."
If you want to get more information on the commission, the complaint process, or tomorrow's meeting, you can head the commission's website.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday on GoToMeeting.
