Saugerties will be closing its annual 9/11 ceremony to the public this year amid coronavirus concerns.

One representative from the police, fire and EMS will lay a wreath at the town’s 9/11 memorial at the Cantine’s Veterans Memorial Complex.

The ceremony will take place at 8:46 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11.

The public is still free to visit the memorial at other times, though it is asked that masks be worn and social distancing be observed.
