There was a multiple vehicle accident which resulted in one person dead and several injured, according to Town of Newburgh Police Chief Donald B. Campbell.
The crash occurred in the town of Newburgh a bit before 1:40 p.m. on Route 9W, north of Lattintown Road, according to Campbell.
On Thursday, authorities identified the person who died as 78-year-old Barbara Moloney, of Marlboro.
The chifef says pending notifications further information will be withheld until the "appropriate time."
