A former local police officer is one of a handful of new guilty pleas in connection with a massive drug bust in Orange and Rockland counties in February.

More than two dozen people were arrested after an investigation into two different drug trafficking conspiracies, including firefighters and former members of law enforcement.

George Thomas, 62, was among those pleading guilty on Wednesday. According to the District Attorney’s Office, Thomas was trying to obtain and sell cocaine.

They also said he was in possession of a sawed off shotgun.

Also pleading guilty was Marquis Gamble, 35, who the DA's office says gave 800 grams of cocaine to someone for delivery and later sale.
