Dutchess County officials announced a new texting program to help those have tested positive for the coronavirus.

The county is partnering with texting platform Rumble Up.

The texting application will help give important information to those who have tested positive.

This includes how to properly isolate and alert close contacts to prevent the spread.

To become a part of the program, residents will give their cell phone numbers to providers when they are tested for the coronavirus.
