Syracuse men's basketball's next two games have been postponed due to COVID-19 protocols, according to the university's athletic department.

The Orange's Saturday matchup against Lehigh and Tuesday's game against Cornell are both postponed; neither has a reschedule date at this time, but the athletic department says it is "currently re-evaluating the schedule" to find possible new dates for each game.

"Our top priority is safeguarding the health and well-being of our student-athletes, athletics staff, fans and the campus and Central New York communities," athletic director John Wildhack said in a statement Friday. "While it is disappointing to have to postpone any athletic event, this is the right decision given the increasingly difficult public health landscape."

The women's basketball team's next game, at 11 a.m. tomorrow against UMBC, is on as scheduled.

SU also announced new public health measures for any games at the Dome, including required proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test for anyone 5 and older. Tests aren't available on campus, and over-the-counter test kit results won't be accepted.

The Courtside Lounge and Club 44 are now closed; court-side gathering before the game is prohibited; and no food or alcohol will be served. Concessions will be limited to coffee, soft drinks and water.

All existing statewide and Onondaga County regulations already in effect will continue at the Dome.
