A suspect in a double homicide in Binghamton was arrested in Florida Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

Scott Mitchell was arrested by the Volusia County Sheriff's Department after a person there notified police of his whereabouts in the Daytona Beach area, Binghamton police said in a press release.

Police say Mitchell is a suspect in the homicides of 58-year-old Daniel McCloe and 55-year-old Marshall VanOven.

McCloe and VanOven were reported missing a week ago. Their bodies were were found inside of a home on Binghamton's west side two days after the pair was reported missing.
