The new roof at the Carrier Dome may not get admired by fans of the Syracuse Orange this fall.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo's budget advisor on Tuesday said at the moment there will not be fans in attendance for college sporting events this fall.

"We are not -- right now we are still fanless sports activities," said Budget Director Robert Mujica. "That would be a large social gathering with everyone together at a stadium. That is not authorized as of yet."

The Giants and Jets, who play at the Meadowlands in New Jersey, will not have fans in attendance this season, nor will the Buffalo Bills in Orchard Park. The Yankees and Mets start their truncated baseball season this week and will not have fans in their stadiums.
