1. Wolfspeed semiconductor fab 'changes the whole dynamics of Oneida County'  

Wolfspeed's 200mm silicon carbide fab became the first tenant at the Marcy Nanocenter on Monday. It comes at an opportune time, as there is a global shortage of the chips set to be produced there. The company aims to employ at least 600 people at the facility. 

2. After videotaped incident, Syracuse seeks alternative responses to some crime calls  

Lawmakers and law enforcement officials are brainstorming for alternative ways to respond to public safety problems involving young people after a video of a Syracuse police officer detaining an eight-year-old caused a nationwide social media storm last week.
