A social media campaign is currently underway to pass down the fabled #44 jersey to Syracuse football's current running back, Sean Tucker.
In the Syracuse football program, the number has been made famous by all-time legends like Jim Brown, Ernie Davis and Floyd Little. Some fans say that a strong start from Tucker warrants passing it down this year.
Tucker is off to a fast start this year with 536 yards rushing and seven touchdowns, four of them coming against UAlbany a few weeks ago. He also has nine catches for 175 yards and one touchdown.
