Almost three months after voters cast their ballots in the 2020 election, we're finally nearing a decision for the 22nd Congressional Race.
On Monday, counties will be doing their final ballot check.
On Friday, the judge overseeing the court case ruled that ballots cast at wrong polling places will not count in the race between Claudia Tenney and Anthony Brindisi. That's along with 51 absentee ballots postmarked after November 3.
He ordered the boards of election to count affidavit ballots cast by qualified people who filed completed voter registration applications on time.
That final canvassing is happening Monday and hopefully that will mean a winner is declared in the not so distant future.
