Oneida County's Board of Election is going to play a crucial role in the outcome of the 22nd Congressional District race, and Wednesday, they begin a process called recanvassing to review disputed ballots to see if they should count..
More than 2,200 electronically filed voter registration applications were submitted in Oneida County, but not processed correctly. Those voters had to submit a provisional affidavit ballot they were given at their polling place.
The decision could ultimately detemine the outcome of the race between Anthony Brindisi and Claudia Tenney, who are literally a handful of votes apart.
Closing arguments in the court case happened last Friday.
