A disturbing trend continuing at Syracuse University as a fourth case of racist graffiti has been reported on campus. According to the Department of Public Safety the graffiti was found early Saturday at Haven Hall.
It targeted Asian individuals, similar to the messages found in other campus buildings.

Then, a student reported another student was loudly yelling a racially derogatory term against African Americans in Sadler Hall. The Department of Public Safety is also aware of a hateful email circulating.
That email has been forwarded to the Syracuse Police Department and they have begun an investigation. Additionally, a swastika was drawn in the snow near campus earlier this week.
The university is making changes to increase safety and security in light of this most recent incident. DPS officers have switched from 10 to 16-hour shifts and they'll also be doing more property checks.
They're reminding people to use their safety escort program which offers both shuttle and walking escorts. The department also says it's making sure to communicate with students when these incidents happen.
Students have been hosting sit-in protests in the school's Barnes Center and on Friday the Chancellor Kent Syverud posted a response to the incidents.
