This year marks the first time New Yorkers can vote early and in-person and we have answers about the process.
Onondaga County residents can cast their early ballots from October 26 to November 3 on weekdays and weekends. Voters are not required to bring ID to the polls. The process involves an iPad check-in, receipt processing, ballot retrieval, and placing your vote.
Election commissioners say there is one big question everyone's asking: "Where can I vote?"
"They think they need to be registered to vote in that area to go there, but you do not,” said Elections Commissioner Michele Sardo. “You can go at any of those six polling sites as long as you're registered.”
The six locations for polling are:
- Clay Town Hall Courtroom
- Dewitt town hall courtroom
- Lafayette Fire Station No. 1
- Armond Magnarelli Community Center at McChesney Park
- Southwest Community Center
- Van Buren Town Hall
