Convicted murderer David Sweat, who infamously escaped from the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora back in 2015, has been moved to a new state prison.
According to the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, Sweat is now being held at Auburn Correctional Facility. This is the fourth time Sweat has been moved within the state prison system since being recaptured.
The story of the escape of Sweat and fellow inmate Richard Matt was the focus of the Showtime series "Escape and Dannemora."
The series finale aired this past weekend.
