Antique buffs and bargain hunters, we may have the perfect option for you: A few hundred vendors are expected to participate this weekend in the Madison-Bouckville antique show.
The show hasn't happened since 2019. Every August before last year, about 2,000 vendors visit Madison County for Antiques Week.
Organizers still plan to have another show in August, but this show will be a warm-up. It won't be quite as large, but you'll still find about 300 vendors set up in six fields.
Organizers said while many of the larger shows were canceled over the last several months, they're expecting people to visit this weekend from outside the area.
"Lots of great response from opening up. And we're like one of the first shows in this area that's been opened up outside," said Madison-Bouckville Promotions President John Mancino. “So I really have high hopes for the numbers, as long as the numbers hold out.”
This weekend's show will also feature plenty of food trucks and vendors as well.
The show is open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. today, tomorrow and Sunday, admission is free. Organizers said there is plenty of room to spread out and stay socially distanced while shopping. It is recommended that you wear a mask while under the tents or inside many of the venues.
The next show is already scheduled for August 16-22.
