TONAWANDA, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills are still in the gift-giving mood as they look to put the Denver Broncos on the naughty list and send them back home with some coal in their stockings.

So if Christmas, Hannukah and Kwanzaa were so long ago, why would we talk to this man who looks like he’d say ho, ho, ho?

"We just love representing our team wherever we go," said Paul Flick, or Bobby Buffalo as he's known in the Bills Mafia. "People of all ages have experienced the highest of highs," he said. "And, just as equally, as many heartbreaks."

So how did this beast start? Was it magic or elves?

"My wife and I became season ticket holders in 2012," he said. "I thought, 'I’m fun, I could do that.' He's Billy (the official Bills mascot) and I'm Bobby. Thought I'd be the, you know, younger, better looking, mascot."

Now Bobby’s wife, son and daughter all find themselves at tailgates and in the stands.

"And then all of a sudden, we have a a herd of buffalo in the family," he said.

For Bobby and his family of Mafia members, this has surpassed a dream.

"Putting this all together and putting this on every week," he said, "this is my uniform to the team."

A family, a herd — destined by the stars.

"So [it] started back on Long Island when I walked into the bar," said Paul's wife Victoria, also known under her attire as Betty Buffalo.

Spoiler alert, she didn’t have to go far — and luckily the family started without a fight.

"Instead of picking him up for my friend, I ended up falling in love, whether I knew it or not that night," she remarked.

From there they got the kids and there was never a preseason game to miss.

"I was just so happy I was brought into this," said daughter Callie, who rocks the Betsy Buffalo moniker. "Because I can't believe our dad even made this."

These kids love being Buffalo — from training camps to game whistles and third down horns.

"Seeing the bills get a touchdown and eating lots of popcorn," noted "Baby Buffalo" Iver Flick.

They even have rules if you cheer with them, taking notes from their school.

"Bills rule," added Iver. "Cheer loud. If we ever lose, my dad will go outside and scream so hard."

"They're dialed in. They're ready. They want it," Victoria said. "We cheer together, we cry together. We play together. We laugh together."

On Dion, on Milano, on Groot, and on Cooper. Down with the Broncos, boo Bo, Sean and Partick — they’re nothing to fear.

"It feels different, we are built different," said Paul. "This is our 'next' year."
