After a warmer and drier than an average month of March here in the Salt City, we experienced the reverse in April.
When you find the average of all the high and low temperatures in a particular month, you arrive at a “mean” temperature.
The mean temperature for April 2022 in Syracuse was 45.8 degrees, which is half a degree below average.
The warmest we got during the month of April was on April 25, with a temperature of 80 degrees.
This came just a week after the coldest reading of the month, which was 27 degrees.
We continued our snowfall deficit in April, tacking on an additional two inches to our relatively low seasonal total.

While the month was pretty typical in terms of snow amounts continuing to decrease, when considering the entire seasonal snowfall, by the end of the month we ended up at 76 inches of accumulation.
