A cold front dropping down the peninsula has sparked a broken line of showers and storms, some of which could become strong to severe this afternoon.

Ahead of the line, windy conditions are expected with a mostly cloudy sky and highs in the upper 80s. A wind advisory is in effect until this evening.

Much cooler air spills south for St. Patrick's Day. We'll enjoy a mostly sunny sky with a high around 70. Breezy conditions are once again expected.
