LOUISVILLE, Ky. — With a 68-48 win over Boston College Thursday night, the University of Louisville women's basketball team clinched its third Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) regular season title.  This is the first outright title victory for the team since winning the 2001 Conference USA regular season title.

The no. 5 Cardinals are 26-3 so far this year overall and 15-2 in the ACC. The Cards will play its final regular season game Sunday, March 1 at the KFC Yum! Center against the Virgina Tech Hokies.

The victory Thursday was impressive not just for the twenty-point scoring difference, but because two starters, Dana Evans and Elizabeth Balogun, missed their second straight games.

"These kids have been unbelievable. It just shows the character and the fight that they have," said head coach Jeff Walz. "I am so pleased with how the seniors came out tonight."

Kylee Shook led the Cardianls with 18 points and 10 rebounds. It was her 10th double-double of the season and the 16th for her career.

Following Sunday's senior day game, the Cards will then head to Greensboro, North Carolina to play in the ACC Tournament which is slated for March 4 through March 8.
