Saratoga failed to convert on a 2-point conversion that would have given them the lead late. CBA hangs on to win a thriller 20-19 over the Blue Streaks. With the win CBA improves to 4-1 and inches closer to potentially locking up a playoff spot.
Shenendehowa 35, Guilderland 13
This matchup had some playoff implications for both teams. Winner put themselves in a good spot to grab the 2 seed for the playoffs. Shenendehowa came away with a 35-13 win over the Dutchmen improving to 4-1 on the year. Guilderland drops to 3-2 on the season.
Schenectady 32, Niskayuna 22
The Schenectady football team keeps its playoff hopes alive with a 32-22 win over Niskayuna. The Patriots have done well this season improving to 3-2 overall. Niskayuna falls to 0-5 on the year.
Shaker 21, Ballston Spa 7
This crossover matchup may not have meant anything for playoff seeding but it was still a great game between Shaker and Ballston Spa. The Blue Bison won a hard-fought game 21-7 over the Scotties. Shaker is now 5-0 on the year while Ballston Spa drops to 3-2.
Scotia-Glenville 40, South Glens Falls 22
Scotia won a battle of 2-2 teams 40-22 over South Glens Falls. The Tartans move to 3-2, while South Glens Falls drops to 2-3. Scotia goes for its third straight win next weekend against Ballston Spa.
Amsterdam 51, Green Tech 0
The Amsterdam football team was in control right from the start of a 51-0 win over Green Tech. The Rams move to 4-1 on the season heading into a big matchup against Averill Park next weekend.
La Salle 42, Cobleskill-Richmondville 20
The La Salle football team played arguably its best game of the season in a 42-20 win over Cobleskill. Offense, Defense, and Special teams were all clicking for the Cadets. Both teams are now 3-2 on the season.
Glens Falls 50, Johnstown 14
Glens Falls is #1 in the state in Class B and will stay that way until somebody beats them. The Indians improved to 5-0 on the season with a 50-14 win over Johnstown Friday night.
Schuylerville 42, Lansingburgh 0
Schuylerville rushed for 333 yards on the ground and the defense pitched a shutout. The Black Horses improved to 4-1 on the season heading into a big Class B matchup with Cobleskill next week.
Broadalbin-Perth 40, Hudson Falls 6
Broadalbin-Perth bounced back after a tough loss last week with a 40-6 win over Hudson Falls. The Patriots move to 3-2 on the season while Hudson Falls drops to 1-4.
Schalmont 55, Ichabod Crane 8
The Schalmont football team got back in the win column with a 55-8 win over Ichabod Crane. The win moves the Sabres to 3-2 on the year while the Riders fall to 1-4.
Hudson 16, Ravena 8
Hudson won a defensive struggle over Ravena 16-8 on the road Friday night. The win puts Hudson's record at 2-3 on the season. Ravena falls to 1-4 on the year.
Greenwich 14, Mechanicville 0
The Greenwich football team improved to 4-1 on the season with a shutout win at home against Mechanicville. The Witches are looking like a contender in Class C right now. Mechanicville drops to 2-3 on the year.
Lake George-Hadley Luzurne 13, Hoosick Falls 0
The War Eagles get in the win column with a 13-0 win over the Panthers. They are now 2-3 on the year, and will face Hoosic Valley in week six.
Tamarac 47, Coxsackie-Athens 8
Tamarac is now 3-2 after a convincing 47-8 win over Coxsackie-Athens. The Bengals hit the road to take on Canajoharie-Fort Plain next weekend.
Canajoharie-Fort Plain 54, Taconic Hills 7
Canajoharie beats Taconic Hills 54-7 in week five. They are now 2-3 on the season. They take on Tamarac next.
Chatham 28, Whitehall 14
Chatham wins a potential playoff preview game 28-14 over Whitehall. The Panthers are now 4-1 on the year and will take on Warrensburg next weekend.
Corinth-Fort Edward 57, Cohoes 30
The War Hawks pick up the 57-30 win over the Tigers to move to 3-2 on the year. They will take on Greenwich in week six.
