Hall of fame wrestling coach Joe Bena has passed away after battling a heart disorder. Bena's 48 year coaching career started in Newburgh, then spent more than 30 years coaching Niskayuna, and spent 10 years at Duanesburg before retiring in 2014. Bena finished his career with 673 wins, coached future Olympians, and 11 wrestlers who would become state champions.
