The Buffalo Sabres are sending a newly signed player to join the Rochester Americans.

Tyler Kopff is a 21-year-old forward who signed a two-year entry-level contract fresh off his sophomore season at Brown University, according to the Sabres. His contract will begin with the 2025-26 season, the team says.

Kopff netted 42 points over 62 career NCAA games. He spent two seasons with the Coquitlam Express of the British Columbia Hockey League prior to his time at Brown.

The Sabres say Kopff will remain with the Amerks on an amateur tryout for the remainder of the season.
