Terry Stackhouse joined Spectrum News as a videojournalist working out of the Albany newsroom in June of 2016.
Terry developed a passion for storytelling as a teenager while covering community events for the public access station in his hometown of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
He graduated from Emerson College in the spring of 2012 with a B.S. degree in broadcast journalism. While at Emerson, Terry was involved in a number of on-campus activities and organizations including The Emerson Channel, EIV News, and ETIN Radio. He produced and hosted the Emerson Channel’s flagship morning show Good Morning Emerson and also anchored and reported for EIV News. He also ran cross-country and served as a team captain during his senior year.
During his sophomore year, Terry was selected by MTVu to cover the 82nd Annual Academy Awards. While in Los Angeles, he interviewed names such as Oprah Winfrey, Sandra Bullock, and Steve Carell.
In 2007, Terry was chosen by FOX Sports Network to cover the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in San Francisco, CA.
Before coming to the Capital Region, Terry worked for WABI TV, the CBS affiliate in Bangor, Maine, reporting on issues ranging from Maine’s opiate addiction crisis to high rates of cancer in firefighters. He also anchored the weeknight editions of the 10 and 11 p.m. newscasts.
In his free time, Terry enjoys spending time outside, exploring new places, watching baseball, visiting with family, and walking his dog Belle.
