Onondaga County officials are looking to improve one of the area's signature sports and entertainment venues.

County leaders have announced a $2.6 million upgrade to Upstate Medical University Arena at The Oncenter War Memorial.

The upgrade will include new lower bowl seating, better accessibility and an improved fan experience.

The work is set to begin this summer and be ready for the fall season as well as the Syracuse Crunch 2025-26 hockey season.
