Dennis Drue, the man convicted of killing Shen students Chris Stewart and Deanna Rivers, and for seriously injuring their friends Bailey Wind and Matt Hardy in a Northway crash 10 years ago, has once again been denied parole.

Drue was given two more years, the maximum allowed by the State Parole Board. Drue is currently serving 5 to 15 years in prison for the crash.

All four teenagers were headed to a sleepover in 2012, driving near the Twin Bridges, when they were struck by Drue.

A Facebook page run by the Stewart family praised the decision saying "our voices were heard through letters, calls, and petition signatures that this crime warrants a maximum sentence."
