COVID-19 case numbers are falling in many places statewide, but not in the Berkshires' largest city.

The rate of cases in Pittsfield is the highest it’s been since April.

This week, the city reported a daily rate of almost 34 positive cases per 100,000 people. The positive test rate is also climbing, up to 3.6%.

The city estimates there are 108 active cases of COVID-19, which is also the highest since April.

Approximately 67% of Pittsfield residents are fully vaccinated, and 80 city residents have died from the virus since the beginning of the pandemic.
