After having to cancel festivities in 2020 due to the pandemic, organizers for the Washington County Fair say they're excited to be back up and running for this coming summer.
They say they're already hard at work preparing the fairgrounds in Greenwich.
Even though they weren't able to host a fair, organizers spent the last year trying to serve the community in other ways, like hosting food pantry events and even offering drive-in movies for families.
They're hoping the entire community can come back with an appetite and appreciation for all the local farmers who help make the fair what it is.
"I think that we owe this to our community to come back and serve them in a way that we're meant to do. And I think that it's been a long time, it's been a rollercoaster at times but, we look forward to bringing and welcoming everyone safely back to the fairgrounds," Fair Co-General Manager Rebecca Breese said.
The fair will run August 23 - 29.
