My Little Lady - this popcorn flavor was created by a 6-year-old girl with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Avery Coker’s dad owns What’s Pop-In', a gourmet Buffalo popcorn shop.

"This is my popcorn, My Little Lady, because I thought mixing another thing would make it a little different to the world," says Avery Coker.

Avery may only be in elementary school, but she already has a business plan, which involves making unique popcorn flavors. With pen and paper in hand, Avery is hard at work brainstorming flavors. When creating My Little Lady, she thought about what many people can’t resist, and that’s birthday cake.

"With another flavor…strawberry," adds Coker.

That’s how My Little Lady came to be. A strawberry birthday cake flavored popcorn. She says that she knew exactly what she wanted to name it.

"My dad calls me that because he thinks I’m the queen of his life," says Coker.

Avery dad, Stefan, says that all of his kids help with the shop.

"The success of the store is because of them and the hours that they put in. We come together as a group," explains Stefan Coker, What’s Pop-In' co-owner.

Avery hopes to one day co-own What’s Pop-in'. In the meantime, she’s working on creating more flavors and is putting together My Little Lady boxes for the homeless.
