After climbing into the middle 70s Sunday afternoon, Texans are waking up to an arctic punch as temperatures this morning are 30-40 degrees colder than yesterday morning. Under a brisk north wind, it will feel like the 30s for much of the day.
We are expecting a widespread freeze tonight with another cold weather advisory possible Tuesday morning.
For the remainder of the week, look for morning lows below freezing and afternoon highs above freezing. Most areas will be dry, but some precipitation is forecast for the Thursday through Friday time frame. The potential for wintry weather is still uncertain, but looks highest across north Texas.
Be sure to check the forecast over the next 2-3 days as more details are available.
