We’ll slowly see the sunny skies fade on Wednesday with the onset of increasing clouds. Those clouds will eventually give way to heavy storms on Thursday.

Currently, the SPC has DFW, Austin and San Antonio at a Slight Risk — or level 2 out of 5 — for severe weather and a slight risk of excessive rainfall, meaning there’s at least a 15% chance of exceeding flash flood guidance.

Rain chances end early Friday, then we’ll see thinning clouds throughout the day.

Beyond that, this weekend and most of next week looks gorgeous with highs in the low to mid 90s for DFW, Austin and San Antonio with a lot of sunshine. Highs in the mid 100s can be expected for Laredo and the Rio Grande Valley this weekend and into early next week.
